Beginning July 1, 2024 the City of Kenosha will be using a new process for submission to DSPS Online Building Permitting for New One- and Two- Family Dwellings in order to be in compliance with 2015 Act 211. Applicants for New One- and Two- Family Dwellings will be required to upload the permit data directly to DSPS at the beginning of the application process. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS AND HVAC CONTRACTORS:
Effective July 2, 2013, Wisconsin Act 20 invalidated the authority of the DSPS to require a Building Contractor Registration. If you hold a Building Contractor Registration (BCR), please contact DSPS immediately to obtain the proper contractor registration/license. Permit applications cannot be accepted/approved unless all appropriate registrations and licenses are valid. Listed below are the correct types of required registrations and licenses.
