6th Avenue & 58th Street Resurfacing

Project Update

Monday, May 22, 2017 construction will commence on 6th Avenue and 58th Street. Starting on that date, the east side of 6th Avenue, including the sidewalk, will be closed from 55th Street to Library Park. The west side of 6th Avenue will remain open for one-way, southbound traffic and parking. While construction will not be completed block by block, the contractor will generally work from north to south.

Additionally, the north side of 58th Street, including the sidewalk, will be closed from 7th Avenue to 3rd Avenue. The south side of 58th Street will remain open for one-way, eastbound traffic and parking. While construction will not be completed block by block, the contractor will generally work from west to east.

Although some sidewalks will be closed, access to all businesses will remain open during construction.
