The Bulk & Recycling Drop-Off Site, 1001 50th St, is open with restrictions due to the pandemic. The site will be open on Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. or until the dumpsters are full and Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. or until the dumpsters are full.
Due to the site’s recent closure, the City will provide an extra day each week through August for drop off:
Citizens may schedule a curbside bulk waste pickup by calling the Department of Public Works at 262-653-4050, bulk waste pickups must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance of regular waste collections days. As you know the requirements have been changing.
The Yard Waste/Brush Drop-Off Site, 4071 88th Ave, opened Monday, May 4, 2020. The site's normal hours of operation are 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, excluding holidays.
There is construction on 88th Avenue / HWY H that will continue through the season. Due to the construction, citizens accessing the site are required to travel northbound on 88th Ave., from 52nd St./ HWY 158. They will enter the site at the southern entrance and exit to the right, going north. The City will not allow waiting on 88th Avenue; therefore if the site is full, drivers must proceed around the block and return when they are able to enter the site fully and safely. The Kenosha Police Department will be enforcing this requirement for the safety of the public and construction crews working in the area. Mulch pickup will be available starting Friday, June 12. Compost is NOT currently available, but is expected to be available after July 6. Click here to view a map of the site.
