Welcome to Kenosha and our official city website. This site is designed as a virtual city hall where citizens may conduct online business, ranging from license and permit applications to making payments for city services. We hope that our website provides helpful information and a glimpse of what makes Kenosha a great place to visit, make a home and do business. If you are new to the community, we invite you to explore Kenosha. The city has much to offer in recreation, the arts, commerce, education and more, with a prime location along the shores of Lake Michigan. Kenosha is in the midst of opportunity, offering small town charm and a lakefront lifestyle, yet close to big city assets in Milwaukee and Chicago – both less than an hour away.

The Department of Administration is headed by the Mayor as Chief Executive of the City of Kenosha and the City Administrator who is the Chief Operating Officer of the City of Kenosha. They work jointly to effectively coordinate services that are responsive to citizen needs. City Administration works with the Common Council to identify and solve problems and develop guidelines for municipal operations and services.

Kenosha residents wishing to be considered to serve on a City Board or Commission may submit an application using the form below. Appointments to Boards and Commission are made by the Mayor, and confirmed by the Common Council.
