    City of Kenosha Fall Festival

    Giant pumpkins, free family activities and entertainment celebrate the fall season at the festival, presented by the City of Kenosha and Blackhawk Community Credit Union. Wisconsin Giant Pumpkin Growers will host a weigh-off, with prize money for the largest pumpkin. Last year’s state champion pumpkin weighed more than 2,100 pounds.
    D.J. Jamie Watkins will provide music, and the Mayor's Youth Commission has games and prizes for kids. The first 200 children to arrive will receive a small pumpkin. Free face painting from Kenosha Art Association members.

    Union Park Art Market

    Artists will set up their 10×10 tents, and sell their artwork. Some artists may demonstrate their work by painting or doing ceramics in the park. Music students from the Conservatory of Music may play un-amplified guitar, vocal, or other instrumental music. There may be live theater and live actors as well.

    Harvest Moon 5K Run/Walk

    Hosted by the Kenosha Running Club, the 21st annual event aims to raise awareness of a healthy, active lifestyle. The event raises funds for Speical Olympics and funds two scholarships for Kenosha County high school students.

    "Time to Fly" Kite Fest

    High flying kites, family activities and a picnic lunch are highlights of a free community event from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at Lincoln Park. The “Time to Fly Kite Fest,” is sponsored by the City of Kenosha and the Kenosha Kingfish, with support from community partners and Gift of Wings in Milwaukee.

    The Kenosha Kingfish will provide free hot dogs and chips for the first 400 guests, beginning at 12 noon. Mascot King Elvis I is expected to make an appearance. Look for Culver’s custard after 1 p.m., donated by the Kenosha Culver’s on Sheridan Road.

    The City partnered with the Mary Lou and Arthur F. Mahone Fund to provide free kites to those who sign up to participate in the “Kids Mad Dash” at 1 p.m. People can bring their own kite, or get a kite at the festival to participate in the “Kids Mad Dash,” as everyone attempts to launch their kite at the same time.

    Songs of Freedom

    Songs of Freedom is a one-day music festival held in support of Operation Underground Railroad to combat child sex trafficking.The Songs of Freedom 2019 lineup includes 11 music acts on TWO stages with Kenosha's own Betsy Ade from the NBC show THE VOICE headlining the concert along with her band The Well Known Strangers.

    ALL ticket proceeds as well as ALL profits from food and beverage sales will benefit Operation Underground Railroad.

    Operation Underground Railroad (OUR) was founded in December of 2013. Since its founding OUR has gathered the world's experts in extraction operations and in anti-child trafficking efforts to bring an end to child slavery.
