    Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade

    Marching bands, floats, local dignitaries and more kick off the Independence Day celebration with the Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade presented by Snap-on. More than 10,000 spectators line the two-mile route, which begins at 22nd Avenue and 63rd Street in the Uptown district.

    Celebrate America

    Music and entertainment on multiple stages kicks off on July 3, as the City of
    Kenosha prepares to celebrate Independence Day. A full line-up of entertainment continues
    July 3-4 along the lakefront, leading up to the Festival Foods Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. on July 4.
    Pyrotechnics expert The Mad Bomber promises another spectacular show to light up the
    skies over the lakefront.
    Celebrate America
    Happenings Magazine, Festival Foods, Kenosha County and many community partners join
    the City of Kenosha to support Celebrate America activities in the HarborPark area from 11
    a.m. to 11 p.m. July 3-4. Admission is free and open to the public.

    Festival Foods Fireworks

    The Mad Bomber pyrotechnics company promises another spectacular show on July 4 as the Festival Foods Fireworks light up the sky over the lakefront. Plan to arrive early in the day to stake out a premium spot with your blanket or lawn chairs. Fireworks are staged at Celebration Place east of the public museums on First Avenue. Pack a picnic or choose from a selection of hot, fresh food from local vendors. Admission is FREE.

    Let Freedom Sing

    Source 1 DJs get the music started, with a limbo contest, hula-hooping and family-friendly music. The Oscillators take the stage from 7-9 p.m. with a peformance of progressive and alternative folk, lots of harmony and event a dose of hip-hop. The Festival Foods Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. highlight the evening's entertainment. Kenosha News joins Kenosha County and the City of Kenosha in providing major support to present the perfomrances at the bandshell.

    This free concert series takes place every Tuesday night through the end of August at the Pennoyer Park Bandshell, and is presented by Musicians Assisting Advancing Music, the City of Kenosha, Happenings Magazine, and more sponsors.

    The music covers a wide variety of genres, and includes both orginal music and cover songs.

    The performance for this week is rock band Dropping Daisies.
