    Taste of Wisconsin

    Taste of Wisconsin brings the tastes, flavors and cultures of Wisconsin together on the lakeshore of Kenosha. There will be over 40 food and beverage vendors selling a variety of items such as cheese curds, Hawaiian pulled pork and ribs, waffle tacos, deep fried twinkies, bacon wrapped tater tots, and deep fried oreos among many more. There will also be a selection of traditional beers, wine, ciders, and smoothies. Food and beverage vendors accept cash.

    Along with the many food and beverage vendors, this family friendly event will include live music. Over 80 musical performances are lined up for the festival weekend with music from all genres. Additionally there will be a demo center with cooking workshops and demonstrations, and a KidZone tent.

    Admission to this public event is free.

    The event is presented by North Shore Bank and produced by the Kiwanis Club of Western Kenosha.

    Mothers and daughters are invited to create arts and crafts, including bracelets and floral arrangements.

    Tuesdays at the Shell

    This free concert series takes place every Tuesday night through the end of August at the Pennoyer Park Bandshell, and is presented by Musicians Assisting Advancing Music, the City of Kenosha, Happenings Magazine, and more sponsors.

    The music covers a wide variety of genres, and includes both orginal music and cover songs.

    The performance for this week is blues, rock 'n roll, and funky grooves band Marie Martens and the Messarounds.

    Border War Beer Fest

    The Border War Beer Fest features Wisconsin and Illinois brewers, who will participate in a friendly competition for the best brews. The winner will take home the "Willy", a traveling trophy given to the state with the best brews. Votes by the beer fest attendees will determine the winner. There will be food truck cuisine and home brews.

    The Border War Beer Fest will be preceded by a Border War 5K run.

    Pike River Rendezvous

    The Pike River Rendezvous is a reenactment featuring more than 300 reenactors that will make the Colonial through Western Fur Trade era of the 1650s through 1850s come to life on Simmons Island. There will be craft and trade demos, music, and games for the whole family.

    Visitors will be able to go back in time to an era when American Indians and fur traders gathered to exchange goods and services and celebrate. Costumed reenactors will talk about what life was like during the fur-trading era.

    Food, snacks, and souvenirs will be available from vendors.

    Admission is free.
