Hello, I am Captain Tim Schaal, Commander of the First Shift Patrol. The City of Kenosha has a population exceeding 99000 people and covers a geographic area of approximately twenty-four square miles. Our shift is made up of thirty five patrol officers, three community service officers, and six supervisors who respond to a large volume of diverse calls each year. In order to best serve the citizens, officers patrol in squad cars, on motorcycles, on bicycles and walking beats. Each member of the shift is committed to positively interacting with citizens in an effort to assist them with the quality of life issues confronting each of them on a day-to-day basis. They are dedicated to the department’s mission of serving all people with respect, fairness and compassion. I am Captain Leo Viola, the Commander of Second Shift patrol. Our shift is made up of forty six patrol officers, three community service officers, and seven supervisors. We handle the largest volume of calls for service on the department and also work numerous special events throughout the year. Hello, I'm Captain Matt Strelow, Commander of Third Shift Patrol. Our shift is made up of thirty eight patrol officers and seven supervisors. To best serve the citizens of Kenosha, third shift has a directed patrol unit, tavern unit, and a bicycle unit. These specialty units cover problematic areas in the city where quality of life issues arise. The officers of third shift are dedicated to serving our citizens with our core values of professionalism, integrity, respect and dedication.
