Mary Ellen Kaldenberg left home (2007 64th Street) at approximately 8:30 PM on February 9, 1967 to go to a local drug store. On February 13, 1967, her body was discovered in a junked vehicle in the area of 3701 65th Street. She was seventeen years old and died as a result of multiple stab wounds. At that time, this area was a junked-vehicle storage lot on the property of the Water Department.
