2010 GENERAL PARADE INFORMATION

• Theme: Honoring Women Veterans: Past and Present.
• Place: Click here for a parade route map. For information about I-94 road construction in Kenosha County, visit: www.plan94.org
• Units: Award winning marching bands, floats, unique performance groups, motor corps, clowns, and more.
• Weather: Average high: 79; average low: 64. July 4th in Kenosha can bring abundant sunshine, heat, and a high dew point. Please be prepared for these types of conditions. The show will not be canceled due to rain.
• Route Closure: The parade route closes to traffic at 1:15pm. Everyone is urged to use caution whether on foot or on wheels and to be a good neighbor by disposing of your trash properly.
• Honorees: Residents are encouraged to participate in the parade honoree nomination process for the 2010 parade. A review panel of community members will select three honorees, and the honorees will appear in this year's parade. Nominees can be recognized in the areas of community service, sports and athletics, military service, arts and culture, health, teaching, technology, business, and more.

Nominators must submit no more than one double-spaced typewritten page describing the individual, reasons for nominating the individual (their activities and accomplishments), and complete contact information for both the nominator and the nominee. Send nominations to Parade Organizer, 625 52nd Street, Room 300, Kenosha, WI 53140 no later than May 14, 2010. h
