I.D. Day

Kenosha Public Museum, Civil War Museum and Dinosaur Discovery Museum

Do you have prehistoric stone tools in your basement, fossils on your bookshelf and/or Civil War objects in the attic that you would like to learn more about? Bring your historic objects to the appropriate City Museum on "I.D. Day." Only identifications can be made. No appraisals can be given. Each person may bring a maximum of three objects for identification to each Museum. This ensures that everyone has a chance to have their objects identified. $5.00/3 objects per Museum.

Identifying prehistoric objects at the Kenosha Public Museum: Dr. Robert Sasso, associate professor of anthropology at UW-Parkside.

Identifying fossils at the Dinosaur Discovery Museum: Dr. Thomas Carr, assistant professor of biology at Carthage College and associate curator of the Dinosaur Discovery Museum.

Identifying Civil War objects at the Civil War Museum: Lance Herdegen, author, historian and content consultant for the Civil War Museum.
