Trees in Parkways

Trees located within the public right-of-way (parkway or tree lawn area) belong to the property owner. These trees are the responsibility of the homeowner. Park Division has provided guidelines for pruning.

Property owners can water or fertilize trees in the parkway, but must obtain a permit to plant, prune or remove trees. Permits are free and come with pruning guidelines to assist property owners with proper techniques.
