CITY DEPARTMENTS : NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES AND INSPECTIONS : INSPECTIONS

A Guide to Inspections

Inspections are performed based upon the details of the construction requirements contained within the approved plans. If the building complies, this process leads to a final approval; and, a Certificate of Occupancy when required.

Inspections include structural, concrete, electric, mechanical, plumbing, energy, building, and drainage. Buildings are inspected for compliance with building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, energy and zoning codes. Fire and health codes are administered by the Kenosha Fire Department and Kenosha County Health Department.
