The Vision for the Kenosha Fire Department

To have an organization that is highly adaptable to external forces, an educated and technically competent workforce, and provide exceptional public service beyond what is expected and required.

The Kenosha Fire Department has a proud history of excellent public service and we look forward to continuing this tradition. We are committed to serving and protecting the citizens and visitors of Kenosha by providing paramedic level medical care, advanced fire suppression techniques, hazardous materials mitigation, and award winning fire prevention education, fire inspections, and fire investigations.

To provide these exceptional services, the dedicated men and women of the organization continually advance their skills and knowledge through daily in-service training, college coursework, and specialized hands-on training.

We are confident in our level of quality, always striving to become better. Please contact me if you have questions or comments that may be useful in our quest to be exceptional.

The Kenosha Police and Fire Commission updated the hiring policy for entry level firefighter position which requires all new applicants to have an Associate of Applied Science degree in Fire Science or related field. This minimum requirement becomes effective on the expiration of the 2014-2015 eligibility list.
